The current owners, Caroline and Will Atkinson, quit their jobs and moved to Hill Farm in 2008 to start making their own goat's cheese.
Ms Atkinson had experience working in dairies but her husband was a lawyer in London and Bristol before he became a goat farmer.
The couple started with 23 goats but built up their herd to 100 females before they decided to sell up.
They make a wrinkly rinded goats' cheese called Stawley with raw milk from their own goats in tiny batches. It was originally based on a French cheese called Charolais.
The farmhouse dates back to the 16th century, when the farm belonged to nearby Cothay Manor, and many period features have been retained.
The house has 3,725 sq ft of accommodation with a drawing room, sitting room, dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, family room, five bedrooms and two bathrooms.
There is also the pretty Malt House, a converted traditional barn with two bedrooms, and a range of outbuildings including a cider house, the old granary and a linhay.
The land includes 15.46 acres of pasture and 12.74 acres of woodland running down to the River Tone, where the property has single bank fishing rights.

Will and Caroline Atkinson, owned Hill Farm for almost a decade but have now decided to sell up
Will Morrison from Knight Frank said: 'Hill Farm is glorious, the area is fantastic. It's fairly rural and hidden away but it's not miles from civilisation.
'It is the whole package if you are looking to move to the country and set up your own business.
'The owners set it up and had a good time doing it but they did it very intensely and now they're looking for a change.'
He added: 'If someone wanted to continue it as a cheese making business they would need to buy some equipment and animals, but the facilities are second to none, they spent a fortune on the buildings.
'It could lend itself to all sorts of home businesses. I've had interest from people who want to do cheese, charcuterie, a vineyard and someone who wanted to use it as an art gallery, there are plenty of good uses, it's very adaptable.
'It's a bit better than the good life, you've got a super walled garden, enough land to do horses, goats, sheep but you can take it to the next stage of business and have a lovely home life.
'It is the ubiquitous lifestyle move.'
